Corporate Connect Members’ Social
June 5, 2025
On June 6, Remai Modern hosted its inaugural Corporate Connect Social on the rooftop patio, welcoming members for an afternoon of networking, refreshments, and creativity. Local executives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers came together to connect and take part in a relaxed, light-hearted artmaking activity led by museum staff, celebrating the vibrant community of Corporate Connect members.

London Calling - Circle of Supporters Social

On May 30, guests gathered at Remai Modern for a British-themed evening of treats, refreshments, and entertainment. The event celebrated the upcoming Circle of Supporters trip to London, offering a taste of the art, culture, and excitement planned for the October 2025 insider’s tour of the city’s top museums, galleries, and art fairs, including Frieze London and Frieze Masters.

Tarralik Duffy: Klik My Heels Opening Celebration
May 23, 2025
On May 23, we celebrated Klik My Heels, the first solo exhibition in Saskatchewan by Saskatoon-based artist Tarralik Duffy. Through digital drawings and soft sculptures, Duffy reflected on Inuit life and pop culture, reimagining everyday objects with wit and emotional depth.
The evening featured a welcome and cultural protocol by Manitok Thompson, remarks from the artist and curator, a katajjaq performance by Silla, music by DJ Charly Hustle, and a lively atmosphere with snacks, a cash bar, and community connection.

Land, Sea, Sugar, Salt - Opening Celebration
April 24, 2025
On April 24, Remai Modern welcomed members and the public for the opening of Land, Sea, Sugar, Salt: Terrestrial and Aquatic Contemplations of the Caribbean. The evening featured Caribbean-inspired food and drinks from Hearth, an exclusive members preview at 6 PM, and a public celebration at 7 PM. The exhibition showcases work by eight leading artists of Caribbean descent, highlighting themes of land, water, and cultural identity.

Shelley Niro: 500 Year Itch - Opening Celebration
April 5, 2025
The opening celebration for 500 Year Itch took place on April 5 at 6:30 PM, featuring renowned Kanien’kehaka (Mohawk) artist Shelley Niro. This award-winning, career-spanning exhibition explored identity, resilience, and history through Niro’s sharp wit and cultural insight, offering profound and playful reflections on the experiences of Indigenous women and communities.

LUGO: Persona
March 15, 2025
Saskatchewan’s biggest art party of the year returned on March 15 to Remai Modern. Throughout the evening, LUGO Persona presented large-scale performances, unexpected moments of artistry, tempting bites by some of Saskatoon’s best restaurants, and remarkable spaces that transformed the museum for one night only. Through participation, interaction, and exchange, guests found their expectations disrupted, and the personas they encountered early in the evening shifted into something entirely different.

Nancy Lowry: Colour in Place - Opening Reception and Artist Talk - October 18 & December 5, 2024
Saskatoon-based artist Nancy Lowry explores place with paintings that explore the intersection of abstraction and landscape. In this exhibition, the largest survey of her practice to-date, recent paintings are placed alongside a selection of works from the last two decades held in collections in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Kaija Sanelma Harris: Warp & Weft – September 28, 2024-March 9, 2025
Kaija Sanelma Harris: Warp and Weft tells the story of one of Canada’s most important textile artists. This exhibition includes works from all decades of Harris’s career, as well as preparatory drawings, fibre studies, and archival materials. Remai Modern’s selection of more than 50 works is brought together from private and public collections across the country.
